    Features/Benefits

    Benefits:

    • Power down force of 28,000 lbs @ 2,500 psi allows safe handling of flush joint tubulars.
    • Back-up torque of 15,000 ft-lbs @ 2,500 psi on 7-5/8 in casing eliminates the need of a back-up tong.
    • Uses standard 250 ton "BJ" type Elevator/Spider bottom guides (Figures 1 and 2)

    Operation:

    • Design allows for smooth control of slip setting, minimizing risk of pinching umbilical or control lines; can be easily adjusted to compensate for component wear.
    • Adapter ring locks into 37-1/2 in rotary table, which in turn locks into the FMS 275 (Figure 3).

    Features:

    • Installs inside the rotary table for safety
    • Eliminates the use of work platforms
    • Creates a clean and safe work area
    • The FMS 275 slips are interchangeable with the 250 ton Elevator/Spider slips, by mounting a slip hanger kit on its center slip segment (Figure 4).
    • When equipped with a 5-1/2 in slip assembly, a 6 in diameter umbilical and associated clamps can easily pass through (Figures 5 and 6).
