• Dust Collector-Cyclone

The Dust Cyclone and Collector is National Oilwell Varco’s optimal solution for separating dust particles from the ventilation air from a pneumatic dry bulk transfer.

The unit works continuously during a transfer, collecting the powder particles in the collector tank while evacuating the “clean” air to a designated area.

The emptying of the collector tank can be fully automated, providing the operator with the needed flexibility for local or remote operation.

    Main Features:

    • State-of-the-art PLC control system which enables control of the entire dust collecting process as an option
    • Certified for operation in hazardous areas as an option
    • Class certification as an option (ABS/DNV etc.)
    • Meets all relevant offshore requirements regarding health, safety and environment
    • Built with materials and surface protections to withstand the roughest offshore environments
    • Field proven technology

    Operating Features:

    • Dust-free handling of bulk materials
    • Automatic isolations valve between Cyclone and Collector tank for remote controlled operation as an option
    • Pressure relief valve to protect the tank for over pressurizing
    • Pressure gauge for local pressure monitoring on the tank
    • Pressure transmitter for remote pressure monitoring at the control station
    • High level switch for high level alarm at the control station
    • Manual sounding nozzle

    Design temperature-10°C – +50°C (14°F – 122°F)
Design pressureLimited to 6.0 bar (87 PSI)
Maximum operating pressure90% of design pressure
Separation efficiency90% of the dust @ 1000 Sm³/h vent air flow
    Air consumption1000 Sm³/h @ 4.5 barg (35,300 ft³/h @ 65 PSI)

Air consumption is highly dependant on the pipe layout of the bulk system. The separation efficiency is based on ideal transfer conditions and material properties. Values above are typical and must only be treated as a guide line. Other pressure and temperature ranges are available on request
