    Description

    2000M

    An epoxy general purpose product where corrosion resistance and external pressure requirements are of paramount importance. This is designed to resist 3 atmospheres of external pressure for in-tank piping, such as found at the bottom of a double bottom tank on a Very Large Container Carrier. This is also well suited for water services including effluent water.

    2000M-FP

    Series 2000M-FP features a thick intumescent coating applied at the factory to the exterior of Series 2000M pipe and fittings. When exposed to fire, the coating expands to form an incombustible foam char that protects and insulates the piping. The intumescent coating is available in 5 mm and 8 mm thicknesses.

    2000M-WD

    Bondstrand Series 2000M-WD and 7000M-WD are glass fiber-reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipe systems designed to meet performance criteria of U.S.C.G. PFM1-98. Products feature a 2 mm thick intumescent coating applied at the factory to the exterior of the pipe and fittings. When exposed to fire, the coating expands to form an incombustible foam char that protects and insulates the piping.

    7000M

    An epoxy system with conductive elements incorporated in the wall of the pipe to prevent accumulation of static electricity produced by the flow of liquids inside, and external effects outside the pipe. In addition, the piping series is designed to withstand external pressure similarly to the 2000M product. This piping is well suited to transfer petroleum products inside the cargo tank of a Very Large Crude Carrier. It can also be used in the hazardous water ballast tanks for ballasting purposes of the same crude carrier.

    2400

    An epoxy system where corrosion resistance and light weight are of paramount importance. This series is designed based on internal pressures only with the following options available: 10, 12, 14, 16, 20 and 25 bar. The conductive variant of this piping series is ending with a suffix “C”, i.e. 2400C.

    LD Series

    The Bondstrand LD Series pipe and fitting come in sizes of 44", 52", 56" and 60" in diameter withpPressure rating up to 16 bar and temperatures up to 93°C.

    Watertight Bulkhead Penetration

    The Bondstrand Bulkhead Penetration is developed for use in piping systems passing through watertight steel bulkheads, decks and tank-tops on board vessels and mobile offshore drilling units. Applicable piping systems where used: Ballast water, ballast stripping, service pump room and various other applications. The GRE bulkhead penetration is designed to replace conventional steel penetrations. It eliminates the costly and disruptive periodic maintenance and inspection required for steel penetrations.

    As part of the loading and discharging of cargo onboard of a ship, Ship operators depend on a reliable ballast piping system to evenly load the vessel so that at any one time, none of the ship’s structures are unduly stressed due to imbalanced loads.     Specifications

    Pipe Construction

    The structural wall of fiberglass pipe in 1 through 40-inch sizes shall have continuous glass fibers wound at a 54¾ helical angle in a matrix of aromatic amine cured epoxy resin.

    Pipe in 1 through 40-inch sizes shall be rated for a minimum of 232 psig at 200°F with a safety factor of 4:1 and shall have a full vacuum capability with a safety factor of 3:1, as required in applicable standards.

    Pipe and fittings shall meet the requirements of ASTM F1173 for fiberglass-reinforced epoxy pipe and fittings for shipboard applications. Filament-wound epoxy fiberglass pipe shall be translucent to the point where damage which may have occurred during handling is visible upon visual inspection.

    2000M

    The integral reinforced resin-rich liner (if necessary) shall consist of C-glass and a resin/hardener system identical to that of the structural wall, and shall have a 20-mil nominal thickness.

    Pipe shall be manufactured according to ASTM D2996 Specification for filament-wound reinforced thermosetting resin pipe (RTRP). When classified under ASTM D2310, the pipe shall meet Type 1, Grade 1 and Class F (RTRP-11FE) cell limits.

    Pipe shall be manufactured according to ASTM D2996 Specification for filament-wound reinforced thermosetting resin pipe (RTRP), together with high strength, conductive carbon filaments. When classified under ASTM D2310, the pipe shall meet Type 1, Grade 1 and Class A (RTRP-11AE) cell limits.

    2400

    The integral, reinforced resin-rich liner (if necessary) shall consist of C-glass and a resin/hardener system identical to that of the structural wall, and shall have a 20 mil nominal thickness.
